hey kunta, (that’s what i call clint for those who don’t know) thank you so much for the invite to coaches weekend (deer camp). Had no idea what to expect, but as the weekend progressed god took over and allowed me to express what has been in my heart for a long time, things that i’ve always known but could not express (fear), thank you again son for helping me to break those chains. That was a fantastic post Clint. I was there too and I DID believe my eyes. I am a sucker for father and son coming together. Your Dad was such a joy for me, can only imagine what it was for you. I lived vicariously through you and your Dad this weekend. Horale Flaco! Encantado mi hermano! It was such an incredible weekend. Thanks for the invite to read this awesome post. Clint, let me start by saying that I am so pleased and happy that you and I were able to re-connect at the family reunion in 2010. Another opportunity comes along in late June of this year. I am so pleased that you and your Dad (Flaco to me) were able to “find” each other again. There is no question but what courage is the driver for this kind of action to occur. It is true in any application. Add unconditional love, and you’re there. Congratulations! You know my situation, of course, with Ward and Aaron. Almost 17 years without seeing or talking to them. Seventeen years! I haven’t given up, but there is many a day when I wonder …. I sort of feel like they probably want to know their father now, but they don’t know how to do it. Or, they don’t have the courage to do it. If it were to happen, it would sure make this old guy’s week. Keep pushin’, Brotha … and always look ‘em straight in the eye. It gives you the edge … every time. I love you lots, Mister. My best to Jennifer. See ya!

Wow clint that is such a testimony of the grace God extends to us. Thank you for sharing such a personal story. I so see the connection to all areas and I even read it out loud to truly plant those truths in my heart ( I do that with a good sermon too ). I want the seeds to grow !!
