Jackson Personal Training Services

Our personal training programs are based on a system that we developed over the course of 5 years working with literally hundreds of clients over that time.  Our primary focus is not helping you lose weight, that’s just a bi-product.  We focus on changing your life through changing your habits.

Many personal trainers and gyms use the term “lifestyle change” very loosely, but don’t ever really change anything because they’re merely a simple rep counter telling the client “what” to do next.

We want you to engage in the process and learn why we are asking you to do a particular exercise or eat a certain kind of food.

We believe knowledge is the key ingredient to helping you overcome your battle with weight.  Knowledge will help motivate you to “want” to take control of your situation.  It’s from that knowledge that you gain motivation.  We don’t hold back on some “secret” formula that makes you dependent on us for the rest of your life.  Simply put, there is no secret.

Here’s what we believe in (and expect from ourselves and you):

1) Honesty & Integrity – everything we teach, we do.  We don’t expect you (the client) to do things that we don’t practice ourselves.

2) Personal Responsibility & Accountability – each and every one of us is responsible for the outcomes in our life.  Granted there are some things out of our control, but we don’t focus on what we can’t control…only on what we can and should control.  Especially our choices!

3) Encouragement of Personal & Spiritual Growth – we are all on this journey we call life.  And we want life to it’s fullest.  Personal and spiritual growth help us become the individuals we were meant to be.  There is always room to improve ourselves, our relationships, and our outlook.

4) Constant, Steady Improvement – we can’t flip a switch and immediately be better whether it’s a skill or trait.  At Raising The Barr Fitness we are always looking to improve on our programs, our service, our interaction with others, etc.  It’s a core value that has helped us become the best personal training business in Jackson, Madison and Ridgeland in just a few short years.  It’s our belief that you have the same capability.  You CAN eat an elephant…but it has to be done one bite at a time.

5) Inspire, Coach & Lead – this is obviously what we do.  We believe that having a coach is the single most important key to success.  I (Clint) have a business coach that helps keep me accountable to what I’m supposed to be doing to help the business grow, and to be strong and healthy for years to come.  The staff are required to get continuing education units (CEU) so that they are always being coached and learning.  Every Hall of Fame Quarterback in the NFL had a coach…not one of them did it on their talent alone.  So we help coach you through the program by providing knowledge, support, and encouragement (in many forms and medias).

Those are our Core Values.  It’s important for you to know that first before we cover the program, because those five beliefs govern everything we do.

Another very important note…we want you to know that it’s vital for you to be passionate and committed to doing our program.  We do not want you to enroll in our programs if you are not 100% committed to achieving the goals you have for yourself.  We do what we do because we want to help as many people as possible change their life, but we cannot do that for you if you don’t want that for yourself.  So, if you are not committed to the process, if you are unwilling to make the necessary changes required for your success, and you are not ready to take responsibility (core value #2) than we are not the right fit for you.  We only except individuals who are passionate and committed about achieving the goals they have set for themselves.
